Botanicactus is the paradise for nature lovers. It is the largest botanical garden in Europe and is located south of the island, on the outskirts of the town of Ses Salines.
Within an area of more than 150,000 m², you will stroll through tropical vegetation with more than 400 different plants and more than 10,000 cactuses. The garden is dedicated to preserve the collection of Mallorcan native trees such as olive, pomegranate, almond, pine, cypress, carob, orange and eucalyptus.
The garden also has an artificial lake which is 10,000 square meters long and 4 meters deep and it serves as a fresh water tank for the use of providing the plants with water.
At the entrance there is a small shop where you can buy some refreshment and during a hot summer day it is a must to bring some drinking water along.
