Es Trenc is the most popular beach on Mallorca and it attracts thousands of visitors every year. The beach is located in the south of the island and with its white sand dunes and crystal clear water it reminds of the Caribbean.
The beach is surrounded by sand dunes and areas with pine and tamarind trees and stretches over more than 2 kilometres. With its shallow water, this is a very family friendly beach.
The beach is remotely located and it is surrounded by natural wild landscape and it is not attached to any resort. There are however facilities to accommodate guests with food and drinks. You can find some restaurants and cafes alongside the beach.
As the beach is so attractive especially during the summer months, it is not easy to find a quiet spot.
Es Trenc is also very popular with naturists as it is one of Mallorca’s official nudist beaches. This area is called Ses Covetes.
The beach belongs to a protected area as a Natural Area of Special Interest (Área Natural de Especial Interés or ANEI).
As the beach is so long, you can access it from various points either by car or by bus and there are paid parking areas in conjunction with the beach. If you access it from Ses Salines, you will find mountains of salt, extracted from artificial ponds.
