Palmanova beach is popular for holiday makers as it stretches over 2800 metres in total. It has fine white sand and is easy to access.
The beach is actually split into three beaches, the main beach named “Playa de Palmanova” which has a length of 1200 metres, Playa de Son Maties with its 1000 metres and Playa Carregador with its 600 metres.
All three beaches offers all the comfort and amenities one can ask for such as sun loungers, umbrellas, showers, toilets, play areas, a wide range of water sports and ramps for disabled. There are also many restaurants and bars along the wide promenade that connects the beaches in Palmanova.
All three beaches have fine white sand and clear blue water; they are child friendly with its fairly shallow water and lifeguards on duty in summer, first aid stations and warning flags. The Palmanova beaches are all very popular among family holiday makers and if you want to enjoy a bit more tranquillity the choice may be the Playa Carregador. This beach is more relaxed with a marina and a selection of seafood restaurants.
The Palmanova beaches merges with Magaluf which is notorious for its bars and party atmosphere. On the other side of Palmanova is by contrast, the exclusive marina of Puerto Portals.
In the winter time the beach promenade is popular among locals for walking and for children on their bikes.
