On the south east of Mallorca, about six kilometres from the resort of Santanyí lies the beach of Caló des Moro. It is one of the “hidden” gems in Mallorca. Due to its remoteness and uneasy access it remains unspoiled in unspoiled in natural beauty. With its amazingly clear water and fine white sand along with the surrounded rocks it invites to believe you are in a lagoon further away than Mallorca. This roughly 40 metre long, narrow beach is a piece of paradise!
Even though it is remote to access, people do find their way and it makes it busy in the summer months. Be prepared to head out early to make sure you get a spot with your towel as the beach area is very small.
To get here you have to drive along a road that is officially private for the last part. Head for Cala Llombards from Santanyí, park by the houses of Sa Comuna and then start to walk. The beach is privately owned but opens to the public so you can just continue the path down to the beach. There is a small sign which indicates the direction and be prepared for a steep descent without stairs.
You will not find any conveniences like shops or restaurants here so make sure you bring your own necessities.
