The village has so far avoided the development to attract tourists and the village life circles around the church of San Mateo and the main square with some bars, restaurants and small shops. During the holidays this is where the traditional festivities are held.
It is easy to access the village by car from both south and north. From Palma the train to Soller also stops at Bunyola.
The most famous attraction of Bunyola is the Gardens of Alfabia and it consists of a house, gardens and an orchard. The history of the gardens dates right back through history to the Arab era of Mallorca.
