The celler de Son Vives is located between the sea and the mountain at the outskirts of the beautiful village Banyalbufar. The winery has a history dating back to 1986.
The winery was initially aimed for family consumption but today they have the pleasure of producing wine to the people and visitors of Mallorca. The process of wine production is done manually to preserve the quality of the work. The location of the terraces and their differences in orientation, sun exposure and soil represent different stages of maturation and harvesting, and require that each plot receives a different treatment. Due to the nature of the landscape in this region, the vines are planted at different altitudes and therefore ripen separately.
Their vineyards are the result of over ten years of effort in the recovery of terraces and planting vineyards. The farm consists of eight plots with a total area of 1.75 hectares in which there are planted 5,000 vines of the grape Malvasia which is one of the oldest varieties of the white grape.
You can visit the winery for an organized tour or order their wines via their website.
